| HENRY B. WALTHALL, born on a southern plantation, March 16, 1879, received
his early education in Alabama, where he later studied law. Shortly after
his graduation he went to New York to enter the theatrical profession. He
was on the stage a number of years. For several seasons he was with Henry
Miller and Margaret Anlin. He made his first screen appearance in 1910 in
"The Convict's Sacrifice." One of his successes was "The
Birth of a Nation." He is five feet, six inches tall, weighs 135 pounds,
has brown hair and eyes. He is married to Mary Charleson, who played opposite
him in a number of pictures. |
