| It was while visiting at the Beverly Hills Hotel, near Hollywood, Calif.,
that Ann May was discovered and claimed for pictures. Jerome Storm, then
directing Charles Ray, engaged her for Ninon, Parisienne in "Paris
Green," She was pronounced a find because of her volatile personality
and talent for expression, and was engaged for "Peaceful Valley"
with Charles Ray. Cecil B. DeMille then engaged her for his greatest 1929
production. Miss May was born in Cincinnati, where she studied dramatic
art at the Schuster-Martin School. She is of the Latin beauty type, with
black curly hair and sparkling black eyes, is five feet two and a half inches
high and weighs a hundred and three pounds. Her ambition, she states, is
to break all records as a racer in motoring and aviation as well as in the
movies. |
