| CHARLES ("Buck") JONES, whose real life story reads like that
of a hero in a novel, was born in Vincennes, Indiana, in 1889. He drifted
from an automobile mechanic to a ranchman, then to the U. S. Cavalry in
the Philippines, and to the aviation corps. During the World War the Allies
enlisted his services to teach cavalry officers he art of trick riding.
William Fox saw one of the exhibitions and offered Jones a chance to act
in some Western pictures. He is five feet, eleven and three-quarter inches
tall, weighs 173 pounds, has brown hair and grey eyes. He is married and
has a daughter. |
