| EMIL JANNINGS chose to be a sailor rather than an actor. But after a short
time on the sea he changed his mind, turned his attention to the stage and
screen. Winning a reputation in America, through his work in German films,
he spent several years adding to his fame by roles created in Hollywood
studios, notably in "The Way of All Flesh" and "The Patriot."
He was born in Brooklyn, N. Y., July 26, 1886, and educated in Germany.
He has light hair, blue eyes, weighs 220 pounds and is 6 feet, 1 inch tall. |
