| MADELINE HURLOCK, the daughter of an English father and an Italian mother,
was born in Maryland, and received her early education there. After completing
her studies in Philadelphia, she joined a local stock company playing in
the Little Theatre of that city. From Philadelphia, she came to New York
for a full season on the Century Roof. Like so many other musical comedy
girls, she caught the eye of Mack Sennett, who engaged her at once for a
series of comedies. Her screen debut was so satisfactory that she has appeared
in many pictures the comedy genius has made. Miss Hurlock is a lover of
music, being a regular attendant at the Philharmonic concerts in the Hollywood
Bowl. She is 5 feet 3 1/2 inches tall, weighs 120 lbs., and has black hair
and brown eyes. |
