Texas. She made her first step on the road to picture stardom by winning
the prize for beauty at a Mardi Gras ball in New Orleans. Rollin S. Sturgeon,
impressed with the girl's beauty, requested an introduction, which led to
the suggestion that she enter films. She acted on his advice and is today
