| CHARLES DE ROCHE, the idol of French cinema fans, was born in Vendres, France.
Before coming to America, he had been seen in this country in only one picture.
Jesse L. Lasky, who was attracted by his great magnetism, decided that he
was just the type needed to meet with the demands of the American public.
So, in the summer of 1922, the film executive went to Paris and placed the
French film actor under contract. He came to this country in November, 1922,
and has scored remarkable success since his arrival. He is 37 years of age,
six feet tall, and weighs 200 pounds. Unmarried. |
