| LIGE CONLEY was born in St. Louis, Missouri, on December 5th., 1897, and
received his education in Los Angeles, where he removed with his family
shortly after birth. He had considerable experience on the speaking stage
prior to making his screen debut, having appeared in both vaudeville and
road shows. His first screen opportunity came with his initial screen appearance
in the old Keystone Comedies. Fox next gave him an opportunity to demonstrate
his skill as a comedian, and then came a starring contract with Mermaid
Comedies, where his droll humor has won him many "fan" friends.
He is possessed of a pleasant personality, is always eager to please his
audiences with some new "stunt," and is a rabid baseball fan.
At one time Mr. Conley was a cartoonist. He is 5 feet 3 inches tall, weighs
125 lbs., and has brown hair and eyes. |
