WILLIAM COLLIER

From Stars of the Photoplay (1930)

"BUSTER," as he is familiarly called, inherited his love of the theater from his father, William Collier, Sr., with whom he appeared on the stage for four years prior to his debut in the movies. He was born February 12, 1902, a native of New York City. Has black hair, brown eyes, weighs 150 pounds and is 5 feet, 10 inches tall. He was once engaged to Dorothy McCarthy of the McCarthy Sisters team. Dot just couldn't give up her career to live in Hollywood, so the engagement was broken.
