| Irene Castle was born in New Rochelle, N. Y., in 1893 and received her education
in New York City. She became most widely known when with her husband she
appeared in "Watch Your Step," during the very peak of the dancing
craze, incidentally, owes so much to the Castles. She entered pictures as
the star in the International Film Company's serial "Patria" and
proved to her hosts of admirers that she was equally as proficient a motion
picture star as she was a terpsichorean artist. Following "Patrira"
Miss Castle appeared in "Sylvia of the Secret Service," "The
Girl from Bohemia," "The First Law," "Tue Mysterious
Client," "Convict 993" and "The Firing Line," Miss
Castle is five feet seven inches high, weighs a hundred and fifteen pounds
and has browns hair and grey eyes. |
