BILLIE BURKE, one of more notable recent converts to the tenets of the screen, was born in Washington in 1886 and has gained an international reputation upon the stage. Her last starring vehicle upon the stage was "Jerry" and she was last seen in films in the Ince-Triangle production of "Peggy," a Scotch play wherein she assumes the role of an independent American girl in a very staid community.
