| WITH some twenty years of stage experience behind him, Robert deserted the
theater to make his debut in talking pictures. Back in 1925 he appeared
in several silent pictures, but returned to the stage until the talkies
gave him better opportunities. Born in Hartford, Conn., March 23, 1889,
he is 5 feet, 10 inches tall, weighs 155, and has light brown hair and blue
eyes. He is married to Muriel Oakes, wealthy society girl, and has two children
by a former marriage. The present Mrs. Ames is his fourth wife. |
