| BEN ALEXANDER, although only ten years old, can look back on a career that
covers six or seven stage successes and a number of photoplay achievements.
He was born in Goldfield, Nevada, and went into vaudeville at a very early
age. For several seasons he played on the legitimate stage, where he created
the title role in "Penrod," the original Booth Tarkington play.
He will be remembered for his fine acting in Griffith's "Hearts of
the World." and the famous "Penrod" stories. He has climbed
the ladder to the rung where he is recognized as an actor-not merely a type.
