SPOTTISWOODE AITKEN is D. W. Griffith's leading character man and will long be remembered as Dr. Cameron in "The Birth of a Nation." He was horn in Edinburgh, Scotland, and began his theatrical career at the age of 17. He was of the original east of "The Dangers of London," and held many other important stage engagements. An excellent cartoonist, a proud father and a great gardener.
